I haven't been to group exercise classes in probably 2 to 2.5 years because I couldn't get them to work. I now remember, when I was thin, I used to go to group classes almost everyday - mainly spinning. I think a big problem is even when I get to the gym (which is not on a regular basis) I don't work out very hard. This goes for both cardio and weight lifting. I'm looking at the group classes as having my own personal trainer to push me for free.
I went to spinning at 6am, which meant I had to get up at 5:20am. This is insane to me on a Friday, which is the only day I usually like to sleep in. I thought I'd be the only one crazy enough to be there - I was completely wrong. The entire class was almost full and everyone was in amazing shape - and I was probably the youngest person there. It was half men and half women. I'm already sore, but it was fabulous! Here's to more group exercise classes!
P.S. - I did not have the courage to weigh myself due to PMS. I know it will be the highest ever so I'm giving myself a few days to a week to be good with eating and exercise before I weigh myself!
